Hot water extraction or low-moisture cleaning?

Hot water extraction, often called steam cleaning, sprays hot water and a cleaning solution into the carpet and pulls it back out with strong suction. It reaches deep into the fibers and is the standard for most carpet. Low-moisture cleaning uses much less water and dries faster, which makes it a better fit for some delicate fabrics, certain upholstery and rooms you need back quickly. Tile and grout is cleaned with its own process that lifts the dirt grout lines hold. Your pro checks the fabric or floor and chooses the method that cleans well without risking damage, so you don't have to work it out.

How often should you clean carpets and upholstery?

For most homes, a professional carpet cleaning once a year keeps carpets looking good and helps them last. Homes with pets, young children, allergies or a lot of foot traffic often do better every six months. Upholstery usually needs it every one to two years, or sooner on pieces that get daily use. Tile and grout tends to need a deep clean once a year in kitchens and bathrooms. How long does carpet take to dry?

After hot water extraction, carpet often takes several hours to dry, and humid weather or poor airflow can make it longer. Low-moisture cleaning dries faster. Your pro shares drying tips before they leave.

Can you get out pet stains and odors?

Pet stains and odors get a dedicated treatment that goes after the source, not just the surface. Most improve a great deal. Older or set-in stains may not come out completely, and your pro will be honest about what to expect.

Do you move furniture?

Your pro moves furniture where it's safe to do so and puts it back. Please move fragile items, electronics and anything you'd rather handle yourself before the visit.

Can you clean my sofa or mattress?

Yes. Upholstery and mattress cleaning are both available. Mention the pieces and fabric types when you request your quote.

What about wet carpet after a leak?

Water extraction can pull water out of wet carpet. For large leaks or flooding, stop the source of the water first, and check with your insurer about next steps.
