Privacy Policy
Effective September 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Thoro Clean (“Thoro Clean,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit thoroclean.com, request a quote, book a service, or use the customer portal, and how we use, share, and protect it. It works alongside our Terms of Service, not instead of it.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly, including:
- Name, phone number, email address, and service address when you request a quote or book a service
- Photos or videos you upload of the area or vehicle needing service
- Payment details when you pay an invoice or save a card on file (handled directly by our payment processor — see Section 3)
- Messages you send through the customer portal’s support form
- Email and phone number, if you sign up for updates through a popup or form on the site
We also collect some information automatically, including pages visited and general interactions with the site, through the tools described in Section 5.
2. How We Use It
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide you a quote, schedule your job, and connect you with the service partner performing it
- Send booking confirmations, status updates, and invoices by text and email
- Process payments and, if you’ve opted in, automatically charge a saved card once a job is complete
- Respond to support requests
- Improve our advertising and measure whether it’s working, as described in Section 5
3. Payment Information
Payments are processed directly by our payment processor, Clover. We don’t store your full card number on our own systems — Clover handles that securely as a PCI-compliant payment processor. If you save a card on file, Clover stores the card token used to process future charges under the authorization described in our Terms of Service.
4. Photos & Media
Before-and-after job photos are stored so you can view them in your customer portal, and may be used in our marketing as described in our Terms of Service — email info@thoroclean.com any time to opt a job’s photos out of future marketing use.
5. Cookies & Advertising Tools
We use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to understand how visitors reach our site from our ads and to measure whether a visit led to a quote request. This tool places a cookie in your browser and may share limited information about your visit with Meta. We also use standard browser storage to remember simple preferences, like whether you’ve already seen a popup on the site.
We don’t control how Meta or other advertising platforms use the data these tools collect beyond what we’ve configured for our own ad measurement. You can manage ad tracking through your browser’s privacy settings or Meta’s own ad preferences.
6. Text Messages & Email
We use Twilio to send booking confirmations and job status updates by text, and Resend to send quote confirmations, invoices, and support replies by email. These providers process your phone number or email address only to deliver those messages on our behalf.
7. Who We Share Information With
We share information with the service providers named in this Policy — Clover (payments), Twilio (text messages), Resend (email), Meta (advertising), and our hosting and database provider — only as needed to run the service described here. We share your name, service address, and job details with the independent service partner assigned to your job, since they need it to actually perform the work. We don’t sell your information to third parties.
8. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet our own record-keeping, tax, and legal obligations. If you’d like your information deleted sooner, contact us using the information in Section 11 and we’ll do so unless we’re required to keep it for a legitimate business or legal reason.
9. Your Choices
You can:
- Remove a saved card or opt out of autopay any time from your customer portal
- Opt a job’s photos out of marketing use by emailing us
- Ask us to correct or delete your information by contacting us
- Unsubscribe from email updates using the link in any marketing email
10. Children's Privacy
Our services aren’t directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at thoroclean.com/privacy.
12. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
