Done properly.
A well-kept lawn is the first thing people notice about a home. Keeping it that way means mowing at the right height, crisp edges along the walks and a yard that's clear of leaves and debris. Thoro Clean matches you with a vetted, insured local lawn care pro for regular mowing or a seasonal cleanup, and you get photos when the visit is done.
- Mowing at the right height for your grass
- Edging along walks and driveways
- Clippings blown off hard surfaces
- Yard cleanup of leaves and debris when booked
- Lawn mowing
- Yard cleanup
Regular lawn care or a seasonal cleanup?
Regular lawn care is the weekly or every-other-week routine: mow, edge and blow. It keeps the grass at a healthy height and the yard looking finished all season. A seasonal cleanup is a bigger, one-time job. In spring, it clears out what winter left behind so the lawn can grow in well. In fall, it gathers leaves, branches and debris before they mat down and smother the grass. Many homeowners book both: regular mowing during the growing season and a cleanup at each end. Your pro sets the mower height for your grass, keeps edges clean along every walk and drive, and blows clippings off hard surfaces before leaving, so the yard looks finished, not just cut.
How often should your lawn be mowed?
Most lawns look best mowed once a week during the growing season, when grass grows fastest. As growth slows, every other week is often enough. Cutting too little at a time is better than cutting too much: taking off more than about a third of the blade at once can stress the grass. Your grass type, rainfall and how much sun the yard gets all play a part. Where winters are cold, mowing usually pauses for the season, and a spring cleanup gets things started again. A Yard & Pool Plan or a Spring Refresh bundle can keep everything on schedule.

Good to know.
Do I need to be home?
No, as long as gates are unlocked and the lawn is clear. You'll get photos when the visit is done.
Can I book a one-time yard cleanup?
Yes. Spring and fall cleanups are available on their own, without a regular mowing schedule.
Do you trim hedges and shrubs?
Hedge and shrub trimming can be added when you book. Mention which plants you'd like trimmed when you request your quote.
What happens if it rains on my service day?
Mowing wet grass can damage the lawn and leave an uneven cut, so your visit may shift to the next suitable day. We'll let you know if your schedule changes.
Do you take care of HOA and commercial grounds?
Yes. Grounds maintenance for HOA communities and commercial properties is available, and it's also part of our HOA Community Care bundle.
