Construction Cleaning
From Rough Clean to Move-In Ready.

A finished build isn't finished until it's clean. Drywall dust settles on every surface, labels stay on the glass, and debris collects in every corner as the trades come and go. Thoro Clean schedules vetted, insured local crews for three-phase construction cleaning, so builders and general contractors have one company to call from the first sweep to the final walk-through, scheduled around the project timeline.
- Rough clean: debris removal and sweeping
- Light touch-up clean before final inspection
- Final clean: windows, fixtures, cabinets and floors
- Punch list walk-through with your team
- Rough clean (phase 1)
- Light touch-up clean (phase 2)
- Final clean (phase 3)
The three phases of construction cleaning
Phase 1, the rough clean, happens once framing, drywall and the heavy trades are mostly done. The crew removes debris, sweeps out the space and clears the way for finish work, so painters, flooring installers and finish carpenters start in a clean building instead of working around the mess.
Phase 2, the light touch-up clean, comes before final inspection. It takes care of the dust and debris left by the finish trades and gets the space presentable for the inspector, the owner or a buyer walk-through.
Phase 3, the final clean, is the detailed one. Interior windows and frames, fixtures, cabinets inside and out, counters, appliances, baseboards, vents and floors are all cleaned so the space is truly move-in ready. The crew then walks the punch list with your team and takes care of anything that needs another pass. You can book all three phases on one contract or just the phases you need.
How often will you need construction cleaning?
Construction cleaning follows your build schedule, not a calendar. A single home or small renovation may need only a final clean, or a rough and final. Larger builds, multi-unit projects and commercial fit-outs usually need all three phases, sometimes with repeat rough cleans as different floors or units progress. Builders with steady work often set up a standing arrangement so each new project gets cleaning on the same terms. Tell us your milestones and we'll line the phases up with them.

A little prep.
- Share the project schedule and the date each phase should be complete.
- Make sure power and water are on for the final clean.
- Arrange site access: lockbox, gate code, key or a superintendent on site.
- Name a site contact, usually your superintendent or project manager.
- Let us know about any surfaces that need special care, like natural stone or specialty finishes.
Other trades finishing in the same area at the same time can undo a final clean, so plan it after the last trade is out.

Good to know.
Who is construction cleaning for?
Builders, general contractors, developers and property owners finishing a new build, renovation or commercial fit-out.
Do I have to book all three phases?
No. Many projects book all three on one contract, but you can book only the rough clean, only the final clean, or any combination.
Do you haul away construction debris?
The rough clean includes removing loose debris and sweeping. Large volumes of material or dumpster hauling are usually handled separately, so mention it when you request a quote.
Can you work around other trades?
Yes. The crew coordinates with your superintendent and works in areas that are ready. The final clean is best scheduled after the last trade is out.
How long does a final clean take?
It depends on the size of the space and its condition. A single home is often done in a day, larger projects longer. Your quote confirms the time window.
How do I get a price?
Request a quote online with your project size, number of units and schedule. We confirm your exact price before anything is scheduled.
